"I live in these tights in Winter and have always worn a size Medium. However when I went to buy a new pair in the dark chocolate colour the Mediums were sold out but the reviews said to size up so I ordered a size Large. They are comfortable around the waist but too big through the legs and look a bit baggy. They're fine for the farm where we live but I wouldn't wear these outside of home. A shame really because I love the colour."
