At Lorna Jane, we aspire to empower women, transform the world. That's why we've decided to collaborate with a chosen charity that holds a special place in our hearts.
The Women's Community Shelters provides safe accommodation and support for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. They work to rebuild women's self-esteem and gain back control of their lives.
On Saturday, the 28th of September, we celebrated our annual Active Nation Day in partnership with parkrun. This year’s event was particularly special as we united not just to get active, but also to raise crucial funds for Women's Community Shelters.
Rain or shine, parkrunners across Australia and New Zealand came together to show their support for this important cause.
We are thrilled to announce that Lorna Jane will be donating $76,714 to Women's Community Shelters!
This generous donation will significantly impact Women’s Community Shelters by helping to provide essential services such as:
Thank you to the Lorna Jane and parkrun community for joining us. We hope you enjoyed celebrating Active Nation Day with us at parkrun! Be sure to check out some of our favourite photos from the day!
Our commencement with the WCS began with the creation of the Love Tote. Founder, Lorna Jane Clarkson, had first heard about Women's Community Shelters during her time on Celebrity Apprentice and knew that it was an organisation she saw a future of partnering with. The Love Tote concept came to life as our team worked to create a symbol of awareness, something that our community can carry with them that represents leading with love. Our hope is that the Love Tote will spur much needed conversations that can potentially save lives. All profits are donated directly into the WCS.
Our powerful partnership with WCS is committed to providing the resources to support women and children on every step of their recovery journey.
More than 50% of women seeking shelter are turned away each night due to lack of space. By Purchasing a bag today, you help provide safe accommodation and support for women and children in crisis.
$30,000 Helps establish a new shelter, providing 6,000 nights of safety for women and children annually.
Working with Women's Community Shelter to establish new shelters offering short-term emergency accommodation and support, helping women rebuild self-esteem and regain control of their lives.
All profits from the sale of these bags go directly to the Women's Community Shelters, helping to create safe havens for women and children who are homeless or victims of domestic violence.
Cementing the partnership that began in March of 2022, our Founder, Lorna Jane Clarkson, and WCS CEO, Annabelle Daniel OAM, met for a sit-down interview to raise awareness, educate, keep the conversation going and support the community.
