Join Lorna Jane in embracing Earth Day 2024! As a leader in sustainable fashion, we're dedicated to honouring our planet not just today, but every day, reflecting our commitment to an active life that's in harmony with our planet. Learn what Earth Day is all about and how we're making a difference as well as how you can be a part of the solution.
Lorna Jane's journey towards sustainability has been a core part of our mission. On Earth Day, we started a tradition of pledging to plant one tree for every Australian sale made, an initiative that's supported by the power of our Lorna Jane Community. We want to thank our community for their contribution to this effort. We are proud to announce your dedication and participation have played a key role in the planting of 8,632 Rainforest Food Trees, and have aided in the reforestation of the Coorabell Region in New South Wales.
As a proudly 100% Australian owned and grown activewear brand, Lorna Jane ensures that our Earth Day efforts reflect our core values. Just as our activewear is designed to harmonise with your active lifestyle, we plant native Australian Flora that perfectly adapts to our environment and supports native wildlife.
In 2024, we're excited to partner with Bangalow Koalas, aligning our activewear's ethos of strength and resilience with our goal to restore and protect koala habitats. Through Lorna Jane’s 2024 Earth Day Initiative, we aim not only to empower our customers in their active lives but also to enable these amazing animals to traverse their natural habitats seamlessly, safe from human-made hazards.
For Earth Day 2024, we will also be teaming up with the Mullumbimby Mens Shed. Our focus will be on repurposing recycled ply from our former Lorna Jane retail store shopfits. We will be collaboratively crafting nesting boxes designed for possums, kookaburras, eastern rosellas, owls, galahs, and lorikeets and then distributing them throughout the rainforest. By being strategic in how we place these boxes, we can create secure habitats for a diverse range of native Australian Fauna for years to come.
